BIRTHDAY BUILDUP

I made Raleigh a "Princess Hat that she discovered the other day by accident. She has been asking to wear the 'prinnnzzzzhat' everyday now. I say, "No not until your princess birthday party". So, before I left for work Thurday Raleigh found these other birthday hats in my closet. She said, "A PRINZZZESS HAT MOMMY??" I let her have the bag of b-day hats to carry around. But then she wanted to put them on everyone that came in the room. Me, daddy, Gracie, Suzie, etc.
Tuesday little Gracyleigh turned one!!!! What a bitter-sweet day as I held my last baby and rocked her to sleep. I look forward to discovering her personality and little voice-- but she was such a snuggly baby. I will miss that. You all know how it is. She's off bottles, feeding herself. Wandering around getting into things.... Sniff, sniff.... She doesn't even need me anymore.


She is so incredibly fun and interactive. Today Mark was playing peek-a-boo with Raleigh and Gracyn as he loaded them in the suburban for me. Gracyn was laughing with all of her might! Mark said, "You are so stinkin' rewarding to play with." When we were in Billings last weekend we would hide behind furniture from Gracyn and she LOVED having to crawl around and find us. One time, she crouched down and looked under the couch for me, found me, and reached through and grabbed me. You know, you always think your child's the smartest......
