Happy Mother's day!

Is it bad that my favorite Mother's Day thus far has been one without my kids??

Ya, please don't comment on that one if the answer is Yes.

Mark and I went to Coeur D' Alene to visit the Heffters and the Phillips. We spent a very romantic night in an old bed and breakfast, had a fun time with Emily's whole family, and had an amazingly beautiful drive. The girls were in GREAT hands as Suzi spent the night with them. This weekend cast a lot of hope for me as the all-consuming baby days might be rounding out and we transition into a new era.

Speaking of new eras. It seems that OVERNIGHT Raleigh has developed a fixation for all things princess. She loves princess dresses, to be called Princess Raleigh, and Castles (like the one we now have in our backyard. See below). Raleigh lives in her Cinderella dress. And Auntie Pauline bought Raleigh Peter Pan theater tickets for her birthday. On Saturday Raleigh and I get to go to the Missoula Children's Theater for the play. She is REALLY excited.Gracyn has been crying and fussy for about a month now. Last night was the first night we got her to go down without a screaming crying fit until 11-12am. I don't know exactly what her deal is but I know she is a good baby with a good temperament so I think something is bothering her... When she's in a good mood, however, her personality just blossoms. She will let Raleigh do anything to her!!

We inherited a jungle-gym this week and the girls are thrilled about it. Raleigh has been out in her "castle" everyday. Here are some pics and a video that cracked me up.

  1. Funny video- you may not want to leave Gracyn on the slide by herself...

  2. I love that thing. I can sit outside and get some sun, without spining the girls around and around and around till I fall over. I can just sit a watch them do all the work...
